Recipes

  • PALEO STRAWBERRY CRUMBLE

Crumbles are great on their own for a quick snack or with ice cream and yes, i know this crumble is paleo so here's the deal... you'll have to come back for my paleo ice cream recipe.
  • FUDGEY PALEO CHOCOLATE CAKE

I'm betting I am not the only one in the universe that has to deal with a chocolate craving when it hits you from straight out of left field.  That sudden need to have anything chocolate hit your taste buds can not be quenched by anything outside of chocolate.
  • EGG BREAD (CHALLAH)

Challah (haa.luh) commonly called egg bread is a bread rich in eggs and slightly on the sweeter side.  Traditionally served during the Jewish Sabbath, it has a dark and shiny crust and yet makes a very light and tender bite.
  • BAKED COFFEE DONUTS

If you or someone you know is a coffee lover then this donut is right up your alley, it is infused with coffee and topped with a coffee glaze
  • FLOURLESS ALMOND COCONUT CAKE

A gluten free cake loaded with almond and coconut flavors? Yes please!! Over the last few years I have learned that healthier dessert alternatives don't always have to taste like cardboard and this opened up a world of opportunity.
  • CREAM CHEESE COFFEE CAKE

This cake is filled with a sweetened lemon cream cheese combined with lemon juice and vanilla  which literally takes this cake to the proverbial next level.  For this recipe, in order to make sure the cake stays moist milk which is the preferred source of dairy used in most coffee cakes, this recipe swaps it out for sour cream
  • BUTTERSCOTCH SHORTBREAD COOKIES

These shortbread cookies are everything a shortbread cookie should be; buttery, crumbly, lightly sweetened.  The dough keeps pretty well and this recipe makes quite a few so proceed with caution and save some dough for the proverbial rainy day. The beauty with shortbread cookies is that they can pretty much take on any flavor profile you wish to attach to them and you will be hard pressed to find anything quite like it.
  • COFFEE CAKE DONUTS

These coffee cake donuts are incredibly moist and do not require much time and effort over the stove from start to finish.  While it has three separate parts, this recipe comes together almost effortlessly and honestly I was done in under  minutes which in my book is an extremely small price to pay to have freshly baked items served on my breakfast table.
  • BAKED SOUR CREAM CAKE DONUTS

I love donuts, maybe a little too much and for this reason it is crucial for my own good that I have a couple of good baked donut recipes. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with and possibly everything right with a good old fried donut, but this gal knows that sometimes she has to peel back and at least try to be "good".
  • BLONDIES

For these blondies, I wanted something that packed a flavor punch and the easiest way to make this happen was to switch up on the chips. I chose to use Baileys chocolate and white chocolate chips; so you can use pretty much any chip you would like
  • MINI PAVLOVA FRUIT TARTS

This recipe is straight forward and doesn't take 30 minutes to prepare, the trick is in the baking. You will need to preheat your oven to a higher temperature and  slowly crank the oven temperature down as the pavlovas dry out and when they are dry to the touch, crack the oven open and leave them to cool; this will make sure that your shell does not crack.
  • SABLES (FRENCH BUTTER COOKIES)

Sablés (pronouced /sa blay/)  French for sand are a essentially a french butter cookie which live up truly to the meaning of the word. I've wanted to share this recipe for a while because this one is truly unique due to the fact that it uses a boiled egg yolk.
